Busspart Norge AS Continues Its Growth – Acquires Sister Companies in Sweden and Denmark

After several years of continuous growth and expansion, Busspart Norge AS continues its strong development. During 2025, the company has taken another major step in its Nordic expansion through the acquisition of its sister companies, Busspart Sverige AB and Busspart Danmark ApS. These acquisitions mark an important milestone in the company’s history and make Busspart a unified Scandinavian player within bus parts, service, body & paint repair, and installation.

“This is a natural and strategic next step for us,” says Group CEO Bjørn Arild Martinsen.

“We have worked closely with Sweden since the very beginning, and through a joint initiative we established operations in Denmark in 2023. By bringing the businesses together, we gain an even clearer position as a total supplier to the bus industry across Scandinavia,” he continues.


Busspart – Stronger Together

The acquisition of the Swedish and Danish companies is part of Busspart Norway’s long-term growth strategy. With established workshops, PDI operations, as well as paint and body services in several countries, the group now gains a unified structure and management that supports its goals of increased efficiency, better coordination, and shorter delivery times. To maintain strong local presence, the company structure in each country will remain unchanged.

Busspart Denmark, established in 2023, has already achieved significant success with its workshop in Roskilde, which currently handles both PDI for new buses and bodywork. Busspart Sweden, on the other hand, has for many years been a key yet independent partner for the Swedish public transport industry and has built a strong reputation for reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.

“By now bringing our resources together across borders, we become stronger and are able to deliver the same high-quality services whether the customer is located in Oslo, Stockholm, or Copenhagen,” says Martinsen.


A Shared Nordic Structure

As part of the integration process, a new joint Nordic central warehouse is being considered. This facility is intended to contribute to more efficient logistics and shorter delivery times for parts across all companies within the group.

“We see great potential in coordinating our purchasing and logistics across companies and national borders,” Martinsen continues. “The goal is to reduce our environmental footprint while maintaining the high standards our customers expect. Sustainability and quality must go hand in hand in everything we do.”


A Strengthened Group – New Opportunities

With Busspart Service AS and Metrotek AS already well-established companies in Norway, the Busspart Group now stands on a solid foundation for further growth. These businesses open new market opportunities within both information systems and safety solutions for public transport, and there is a growing demand for independent service providers in the industry.

“Throughout 2025, we have seen how important it is to remain flexible and service-oriented,” says Martinsen. “With a strong team and a comprehensive service offering, we are very well positioned to meet the needs of the bus market—both today and in the future. We will continue to grow and solve our customers’ challenges going forward, but now in more countries.”


The Road Ahead

Busspart Norge AS now enters 2026 with strong ambitions. With a shared Nordic structure, increased capacity, and a clear focus on sustainability and service, the group aims to strengthen its position as the leading provider of bus parts and related services in the Nordic region.

“We started in 2016 with a simple vision—to deliver quality parts to the bus industry,” Martinsen concludes. “Ten years later, we expect revenues of close to NOK 400 million. Nine years on, we have grown into a Nordic group with operations in three countries. We are proud of that—but this is only the beginning.”

By receiving the award three times, Busspart becomes a MästarGasell. Meet Our Team Member Nedyalko

Nedyalko Gochev is one of our dedicated team members at Busspart. Here’s what Nedyalko has to say:

– I moved from Bulgaria in 2016, and about three years ago, a friend recommended that I apply for a job here at Busspart. My main responsibility is painting, which also includes tasks like filling and masking. If there’s other work to be done, we always help each other out when we have time to spare. Since I started here, I’ve made some great friends who make me feel truly valued at Busspart.

I live in Varberg, which is close to work. That’s great because it’s also near the gym and gives me more time for my favorite hobby – photography.

If I were to describe my workplace in three words, they would be: opportunities for growth, future, and appreciation. I feel like I have a rewarding job at a great company that has also given me important training to improve my skills. The best part? The overall experience.

Intradan Teknik Becomes Busspart Denmark

Busspart is strengthening its position as one of the leading players in the manufacturing of high-quality aftermarket parts and provider of qualified services for buses in the Nordic region. Through the acquisition of its Danish distributor, Intradan Teknik, this joint initiative will enhance market presence in Denmark. This marks the first step toward expanding the range of services offered in Denmark to include Busspart’s comprehensive solutions already available in Sweden and Norway. These services include damage management, painting, PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), and onboard system and equipment customization.

As part of the merger, the company will operate under the unified name “Busspart” and follow the successful business model already applied in Sweden and Norway. To offer the same opportunities in Denmark as in other markets, the company has initiated the process of finding new and better-suited facilities.

Together with Busspart in Sweden and Norway, the group will leverage several positive synergies in areas such as manufacturing, logistics, administration, and communication. These efforts will be tailored to ensure a consistent yet locally adapted approach that creates a welcoming and positive presence in each market.

This platform will leverage long-term availability-based contracts with regional public transport operators and expertise in electric bus operations.

“We Got the Best Solution”
Connect Bus turned to Busspart when they needed a protective glass solution for their buses during the pandemic.

“We chose Busspart because we already have a strong partnership with them for damage repairs, painting, and body parts, and they have a flexible approach. We also noticed that other suppliers were under heavy pressure, and we wanted both the supplier’s focus and to avoid delays. Busspart handled this exceptionally well throughout the entire project,” says Therese Larsson, Traffic Area Manager West at Connect Bus.

The discussion surrounding the protective glass—whether it was needed, its design, and its features—was highly debated among management, staff, safety representatives, and union representatives.

“It was a challenge, of course, but thanks to good collaboration with all parties and the way Busspart delivered the solution, the implementation went very smoothly. This was achieved without compromising the drivers’ health or general traffic safety,” Therese explains.

She highlights how the glass is curved toward the door instead of the window, which would have significantly impaired visibility in the rearview mirror.

“We probably had the best solution in Sweden!” Therese says, smiling proudly.
