Our sites in Sweden

Sätila – The scenic Sätila, located roughly between Gothenburg and Borås, is where Busspart began manufacturing body parts, and it remains our base to this day. A team of experienced and skilled plastics workers and painters develop and produce the parts seen on buses all across the Nordic region today.

Varberg – Here lies our workshop, which opened in 2020 during the height of COVID. With modern and well-adapted facilities, including a paint booth over 30 meters long and a spacious yard, it is well-suited for the task. Many visitors to the McDonald’s across the street often see the workshop bustling with activity year-round.

Gothenburg – Close to Backaplan, we have our second workshop with a full-sized paint booth for buses. This is the newest addition to our family, marking our return to Gothenburg after previously being located in Kungälv.

About the Swedish depot

By not only producing parts of equivalent quality and fit from OEM, we often improved the product by choosing more impact-resistant and environmentally friendly materials. We asked the mechanics for their input and made changes and adjustments that save them time in the workshop.

We also noticed that there was often downtime despite the OEM delivering quickly due to the local refinisher not having time to refinish. Over 90% of our products are delivered painted in the color of the traffic area, thus often avoiding expensive downtime. Today we produce our parts in Sätila outside Gothenburg and in Råde outside Fredrikstad in Norway.

Busspart started by manufacturing aftermarket parts in bodywork for buses where we saw there was a great need for good and cheaper alternatives to OEM. In procured traffic, cost is the most adjustable factor so, simply put, it is whoever has the best control over their costs that can win traffic and also reach their expected margins. By not only producing parts of equivalent quality and fit from OEM, we often improved the product by choosing more impact-resistant and environmentally friendly materials
